From the PA Capitol to National Reform:
The Journey of HR 875 & HelpMe2Stop

We aren't just starting this fight—we've been winning it for nearly two decades.

This interview explores the landmark 2008 moment when HelpMe2Stop founder Charlene Blacer was invited to the Pennsylvania State Capitol by then-Representative Mario Scavello. This meeting led to the successful passage of PA House Resolution 875, which officially established Trichotillomania Awareness Week in the Commonwealth.

Today, we are taking that same momentum to the federal level. Utilizing 15+ years of documented forensic proof, we are challenging federal medical codes (A9282/S8095) to secure National Insurance Parity for all BFRB sufferers.

In this video:

  • The story behind the passage of HR 875 in Pennsylvania.
  • Bridging the gap between the salon chair and clinical care.
  • Our 2026 mission to achieve mandatory insurance coverage alongside Cancer and Alopecia.

From Salon Chair to Social Change:
Why HelpMe2Stop Exists.

My journey began as a stylist, but clients like Debra proved we needed a bigger mission. Watch Debra's powerful story of sustained 15+ year remission from Trichotillomania thanks to the Hair Barrier Protocol.

This success can't stay stuck in the cosmetic world. We are now a nonprofit on a mission to prove the Hair Barrier is a medically-recognized intervention, changing lives on a massive, systemic scale.
